Thank you Jo for sharing so much information in such a friendly and open way. I sometimes find the amount of great content overwhelming and kick myself for missing meetings but I plan to try to better navigate The Gardening Mind in 2024. Happy New Year to all!
Love be part of Gardening Mind and have enjoyed it from day one. Happy Christmas Jo to you and your family and thanks for all your work and effort. Xxx
I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the Gardening Mind community this year, and learning so much from you, Jo, and your readers. Have a wonderful holiday season, and a well-deserved rest. xx
By the way, Wendy’s Secret Garden is one of the best gardens I’ve ever seen and in the most incredible location on Sydney Harbour. I went to school around the corner and never knew about it until 2022 so it definitely earns its name of “secret”. She is Brett Whiteley’s widow and the story behind it is very inspiring.
Happy Anniversary Jo, I am so pleased I joined your substack. I look forward every week to receiving you in my inbox. Your content is so inspiring, and as a 'late comer ' into the horticultural world I have found it helps me greatly at work as well as in my own garden, the community its created is wonderful. I do hope you venture 'up north'! Can I take this opportunity to thank you for your commitment and passion to The Gardening Mind, it really is much appreciated, wishing you a relaxing and peaceful Christmas and lots of new ventures for 2024, much love Sarah X
Congratulations on your two year anniversary Jo. What a wonderful world you’ve created on here through incredibly hard work and tenacity. You deserve a well-earned break. Merry Christmas. X
Happy anniversary Jo 👏 I’m still quite a newbie to The Gardening Mind and Substack which I found at the right time after losing my little dog after 13 years of companionship and love from my little furry friend. Similar to others when I receive the notifications I have a little smile on my face and feelings of joy and excitement to read your next post and everyone’s comments. They are always very interesting and intriguing reads. Merry Christmas Jo, have a well deserved break! 🎄🎁 Merry Christmas to my Gardening Mind community 🎉💚
Oh Hilary, I know how sad that is - we too lost a 13 year-old dog this summer and the gap is still there. So honestly how rewarding to read your comment - that's inspirational and spurs me on and is just so encouraging and welcoming to everyone. Thank you so much and have a lovely Christmas
Where to begin with the thanks for all the joy giving, spirit lifting, laughter inducing, unbelievably generous knowledge sharing, and kind, collaborative, supportive, community creating which you have brought about through the Gardening Mind. I feel I have found a place of inspiration and sharing that is devoid of any fakery or pretence. It has been a privilege to share this space with so many wonderful minds and the leadership of an exceptional gardener/ creator and all round brilliant human being!! Thank you, Jo, an amazing year of opportunities, experiences and learning! Here’s to the next 12 months and a well deserved rest and Christmas celebration for you. Happy Christmas to all. Julia x
Julia, it's been wonderful getting to know you and we've had a blast! You play such an important part of TGM- with your thoughtful comments and magical guest feature, I feel so lucky that you're here!
Dear Jo - congratulations on two years of the gardening mind . I have just been to lunch at The Bell Inn in Ticehurst and seen your beautiful planting in the garden . I hope to go back in the spring and see how different it looks . Lots of love and wishing you a very Happy Christmas x
Morning Jo:) I was only saying to my family last week, how very VERY much indeed your words of wisdom and wit keep me company. I don’t have many botanical addicts like myself in my circle of friends and family. It’s a joy to receive your notifications and we both have one thing in common. We break rules :). I’m a relative newcomer to this forum and I have learnt so much. No 1 being roses. They caused me much worry and now I am embracing the journey ! Merci afinement. Have a glorious Christmas and rest and be merry !! Ems xx
Dear Emma, how wonderful to hear about the roses - I love the fact that you're embracing them! Have a wonderful Christmas and I'm so happy that you're enjoying it here x
