A very special vegetable garden
Plus: what I'm tackling in the garden this month, and a reminder of our Zoom meet-up
It’s the middle of September, and all of a sudden, the to-do list seems overwhelming. Bulbs? Border-tidying? Seed-sowing? HELP.
Don’t panic.
That’s why The Gardening Mind is here.
Yes, there are bulbs to be ordered, but this can wait till Wednesday, when I’m going to give you my new collections for next year’s Spring. And do remember that the narcissi, hyacinth and small bulb collections can go in soon - you can find the collections that I’ve created for you here and here. However, if you absolutely just can’t wait to think about tulips, here’s my own garden tulip collection from this April, and you can find three further collections here.
And now, this is the bit where, if you’re still a free subscriber I gently ask if you’d consider becoming a paid subscriber - I’ve reduced the subscription price for one week only, and I hope you see the value in getting access to a huge amount of information which otherwise might be out of your reach. And, remember, there are no ads here on The Gardening Mind - anything I recommend or link to, is not because I’m being paid to lure you into buying something; it’s because I genuinely can tell you that it’s good. That’s one of the value-added differences you get here.
A reminder that our Zoom meet-up is on Thursday evening - so that’s 21st September, 7pm UK time. Do get together anything you want to share - whether it’s your garden designs, planting designs, photos….. anything that you want to talk about. I’ll start up a Chat thread on this too.
Today, we’re having a look at what we can be doing now in the garden, and then, to finish on a high, rather than your feeling like you’ve just been given a massive a mount of homework, I’m going to be taking you on a little tour of a kitchen garden, the likes of which you’ve never seen before.
