I'm just listening along and feel the need to comment on root beer. I strongly believe that you have to grow up with it to appreciate it. I grew up with Scottish neighbours in Canada and I remember sharing a root beer with their visiting grand kids. They also thought it was disgusting. My Norwegian husband can't drink it either. But I prefer it to Coke. It is hard to get a good diet version though.

Totally with you on the witch hazels. I’ve got such a small garden that I can’t be doing with something that looks so dull for so long!

And I also add things I’ve done to the to do list. Nothing so satisfying as ticking things off!

We are REALLY happy that you’ve enjoyed this . Please do share it with anyone who you think might enjoy it too. And… if you listened to it via a podcast platform, and you can spare a moment to rate/comment on the show, it really helps spread the word. And spreading the word is what we really want to do as we want to celebrate the joyous jolliness in gardens, and be a little bit of a bright light 💚💚💚

What a wonderful podcast, Venice where I got engaged, Florence where we honeymooned and doughnuts !

Lovely winter scent talk and a great start to my day driving.

Thank you Jo and Nina

@Nina, I am in your team, if I do something that was not on the list I add it and tick it off. Satisfaction indeed :) @Jo, Duran Duran will be on concert in London on May 1-2 at the O2... (more tempting than the witch hazel perhaps?)

Loved the scrubbing brush. Makes complete sense. And shockingly you’ve now put the unthinkable thought into my head that I might get rid of the witch hazel that dominates the border most visible from the house. Lovely for about four weeks (if that) and let’s face it dead boring for the rest of the year. And the leaves often shrivel up in the summer. I could replace it with a rose, that would probably like it more in that spot. Now I can have happy thoughts about which rose could it be? Thank you Jo!
