This may be your first time on Substack, and you may be wondering what it’s all about and what I’m doing here. Hopefully this post will explain: essentially, it gives me a bit more space and a lot more freedom to share things with you, and more importantly, for you to share your thoughts, for us all to have a think and a discussion and generally a very mellow time

And even though it might feel like the 57th day of January and that August is never going to come, when it eventually does arrive, you’ll be so happy that you spent that long-ago wintery Saturday stuffing your online basket full of summer promise. I promise.
