Where on earth do we start with dahlias?
We all know that feeling when faced with the bulb catalogues - how on earth to choose?
Do you base your purchasing decisions on research, reliability, or, often as I do, simply a gut feeling. Or a little bit of all of these? If you’re new to bulb-buying, you might be wondering where on earth to start, and I want to reassure you that it’s not that complicated.
Here’s a flavour of what the dahlias are looking like right now. These dahlias, planted around April this year, have been magnificent in the garden. They have withstood rain, sun and, currently, howling gales.
And have you noticed just how cheering a red and white striped vessel is? Along with these best dahlias, I’ve put together my favourite vases and jugs which make EVERY posy look positively jolly.
